By far the best soda is Sprite. A close second is Coca-Cola, and behind that is Grape Fanta. For all of these sodas, you need the brand name. That Shasta crap won’t cut it. Whenever I’m at a party I judge it by how good the sodas are. If you don’t have Sprite and Grape Drink, it’s not a party. I think I drink too much soda, but that is a problem for future me.

 

Currently, the Los Angeles Lakers are 4-6 this season. Even with the talents of McGee, Dancin Lance, Rondo, and Lebron James they are off to not so great of a start. It seems to be that they start off decently strong for a team that is built on old guys and sophomores. The problem is that when the 4th quarter starts, everything goes downhill for them. The problem is that all of the veterans are completely beat by then, and the younger players aren’t good enough to hold their own against teams like the Nuggets and the Trailblazers. Luckily, they have noticed this and are starting to bring in reinforcements. Tyson Chandler is going to be able to help JaVale McGee at the center position. Hopefully, this will somewhat alleviate some of their problems. Another issue is that the Lakers do not have a 3-point shooter. Yes, their players can shoot 3’s, but they don’t have a specialist like the Rockets or the Warriors. Hopefully, in a couple of years Ball, Ingram, and Kuzma will grow into great players, and the Lakers won’t be dumb enough to trade them. I don’t think they have a shot at the championships this year, but in the coming years, there might be an upset in the West.

Another meme has come and gone once again. this time, the casualty goes to the Kowalski meme. The meme comes from characters in the Dreamworks movie Madagascar. The characters are 4 penguins that also manage to escape the Central Park Zoo. One of the penguins, Kowalski, is very smart. One of the quotes from the movie is “Kowalski, analysis.” This was used in memes without normies catching on for about 2 days. Then the normies caught ahold of the meme and drove it 6 ft into the ground. This is a problem frequently happening in the meme market. A meme will only last for 2-3 days. This happened with the Tintin meme and the Airplane safety memes. maybe this is just how memes are going to work in the future. 

Rotten tomatoes gave Venom a 33%, which I found ridiculous. I very much enjoyed the movie and saw it twice within the first week it was released. I found Tom Hardy as a perfect fit for Eddie Brock, although it was sometimes hard to see him as a reporter. Even then, he managed to make it believable and enjoyable. I thought the storyline worked very well, and it’s great to see them pushing for a sequel. It is a bummer that Spiderman is not going to be making an appearance soon, but it also somewhat helped for me. It was good to know that Venom would not get all mixed up in what in the MCU currently. I would give it an 8/10, because of screw Rotten Tomatoes.

Amid the recent controversy concerning the Nike ad featuring Colin Kaepernick, people have been burning their Nike shoes and apparel. Some people see this as an efficient way of protest, but I do not. I think it is just as useless as the way Kaepernick protested. The people have already bought these shoes from Nike, so the only money they’re wasting is their own. I know it’s supposed to be symbolic, but it just doesn’t seem effective. Burning down the Nike stores would be more symbolic, but I’m not saying go commit arson. People just need to calm down. Kaepernick was using his free speech to protest about something he felt was important. It may be disrespectful, but if you feel that way, burning Nike’s you purchased will not do anything about it.
